“Genealogy is the study of families, family history, and the tracing of their lineages. Genealogists use oral interviews, historical records, genetic analysis, and other records to obtain information about a family and to demonstrate kinship and pedigrees of its members.” (Wikipedia, October 2023)
I have hit a brick wall on all lines of my family research. Every genealogist – professional or amateur – knows this feeling. I have decided to do deep dives into random people in my family tree. Partially to see if I can surface new research threads and partially to share out what I’ve learned in the years spent haunting churches, graveyards, archives, libraries, and the deep corners of the internet.
Each person will get their own page and their own story… enjoy!
